What is recalled

Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2026 VOLVO VHD, VNL (4), VNR (4), VN, and VAH vehicles. The steering knuckles may have been manufactured with insufficiently tightened steering arms.

Safety consequence

A loose steering arm can result in a loss of vehicle steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Manufacturer remedy

Dealers will inspect and tighten the fasteners between the steering arm and steering knuckle, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 27, 2026. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks' customer service at 800-528-6586. Volvo Trucks' number for this recall is RVXX2607. What is recalled

Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2026 VAH, 2026-2027 VN, VHD, VNL (4), and 2027 VNR (4) vehicles. The wheel lug nuts may loosen and allow the wheel to detach.

Safety consequence

Wheel detachment can cause a loss of vehicle control or create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Manufacturer remedy

Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the repair has been performed. Dealers will inspect the wheel and hub mating surfaces, remove any masking material, and replace any worn components if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 15, 2026. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks' customer service at 800-528-6586. What is recalled

Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2026-2027 VNR (4) and 2025-2027 VNL (4) vehicles. The rear brake modulators may have unprotected electrical connectors that can short circuit and lead to a loss of the anti-lock brake system (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC).

Safety consequence

A loss of anti-lock brakes and electronic stability control increases the risk of a crash or injury.

Manufacturer remedy

Dealers will inspect the rear brake modulator electrical connectors, install a protective cover, and replace the rear brake modulators, as necessary, free of charge. What is recalled

Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2025-2027 VNL (4) and 2026-2027 VNR (4) vehicles. The vehicle turn signals may not function properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Safety consequence

Turn signals that do not function properly may fail to indicate the driver's intention to change vehicle direction, increasing the risk of a crash.

Manufacturer remedy

Dealers will update the turn signal indicator software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 7, 2026. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks' customer service at 800-528-6586. Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2025-2026 VNL (4) vehicles. The instrument panel may fail while driving. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."

Safety consequence

An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash.

Manufacturer remedy

Dealers will replace the instrument panel clusters, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 8, 2026. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks' customer service at 800-528-6586.
